Background: The outcome of the elections in Belarus was not surprising. Lukashenko has been in power for 26 years and can be re-elected every five years. The result is already there - 80% of the dictatorship needs to legitimize itself acceptably. Quite a few were all the more surprised when the protests in Belarus turned into an uprising against the regime. Lukashenko is cornered with riots, mass protests and calls for a general strike. His point of view: He won't give up power until he's dead.

Even before the elections there was a lot of repression and with the start of the protests the cops are brutal with violence, torture and rape cracked down on the population in the streets and in prisons. Several people were killed. There are few organized groups in the country that have continuously resisted the regime. Anarchist groups are therefore always the focus of repression.

50% of the money raised by selling the T-shirts goes to anarchist groups so that they can continue to organize themselves in the uprising and 50% to the ABC Belarus for anti-repression work.
